I wrote a poem called Mom's Retreat and I'm certain I'm not the only mother who's ever escaped to this special place. To read it on CWAHM.com, click HERE and leave a comment there or here on this blog. Thanks!

This was great, Donna. It took me a while to click on the link and read it, but I really liked it and could definitely relate. I still have those moments when the bathroom is really the best place to be (to hide?) and it may take me extra-long to make it out of there :)

Ha! The bathtub was my retreat, too. That and the Ben Franklin store near where we lived when the kids were little. I'd sit and look at the pattern books in the fabric department on Sat. while Jim was home with the kids. Why? It was a mindless activity, and it was an escape. Strange that we can so badly need an escape from something that we love so very much. :)
