Prayer Request

It's not coincidental that I posted the devotional, Each Moment I Live. The same day, we received a call that my nephew has been in an accident, and was taken to the nearest hospital with the facilities to address his injuries. He's a married father of two young children, and a strong Christian. Please pray. I'll update when I know more. Thank you. - Donna

  2. Teresa, you are so right.

Prayer works! When the hospital admitted my nephew, he had a bruised heart, bruised kidney, bruised liver, a shattered left arm (he is left-handed), elevated enzymes which indicated the heart was in trouble, and back injury. His wife was told by the first hospital that he probably would lose the use of his left arm, and they were very concerned about his heart.

After stabilizing him they transferred him to a bigger hospital, where they ran tests all night long. All his internal organs are going to be fine, and his back, although injured, will be fine eventually. They did do surgery at 6 AM to try to release a nerve going into his arm, but they cannot do repairs to the bones and nerve damage until the swelling goes down. He is supposed to have another surgery in two days. So keep praying please! We are so thankful his back is okay, and that his heart activity is back to normal, but of course, the left arm is major. Please pray that the nerve can be repaired. He's a big, strong guy, but the docs put him on morphine and Percoset (sp?). Both bones are broken, and my other nephew said he'd been crying out in pain, but I think after the surgery it wasn't quite as bad.

Thank you so much for all your prayers. I got emails from around the world, and I so appreciate it.

    God bless you. - Donna

  3. Donna, I am so sorry to hear about your nephew. I also have nieces and nephews that are grown with children, and I would be devastated if they were this ill. I will pray for him. Blessings to you and your family this New Year.

  4. My nephew went in for surgery today on his arm. The elbow had been dislocated two inches and the bones still need to be set. Right before he was to go in for surgery, his heart went into tachycardia. Now the docs think he might have a blood clot some place in his body. Please continue to pray. Thanks so much.
